  67. hospital.  Since Steve could not write the DX bulletin this week,

  71. FROM THE DXCC DESK.  Today, March 1, 1991 is the first day that
  72. the 7O1AA and 7O8AA QSL cards will be accepted by the DXCC desk
  73. for the new Yemen Republic.  Many of the 7O8AA QSL cards were
  74. shipped in packages at bulk rate.  They were not accepted by the
  75. Postal Service of France and have been returned.  QSL managers in
  76. France will have to individually stamp the envelopes and ship them
  77. from France.

  79. ETHIOPIA, ET.  ET2A, Jack, is active daily on 21300 KHz around 1830
  80. UTC operating both net and split operations.  Also, check 28580 and
  81. 28600 KHz around 1900 UTC.  Both Jack and second operator, Scott,
  82. are Americans working with the Red Cross in Ethiopia.  QSL via

  91. CAMEROON, TJ.  TJ1BJ is now active on 75 meters on Saturday around

  100. ARRL INTERNATIONAL DX PHONE CONTEST.  Good Luck this weekend,
  101. March 2 and 3, in the annual ARRL International DX PHONE Contest.
  102. It runs a full 48 hours from 0000 UTC Saturday, March 2 until 2400
  103. UTC on Sunday, March 3.  Remember that the 10, 18 and 24 MHz bands
  104. are excluded from the contest.  Logs may be submitted on IBM
  105. compatible, MS-DOS formatted diskettes, either 3.5 or 5.25 inch,
  106. 40 or 80 track.  The log information must be in an ASCII file,
  107. following the ARRL Suggested Standard File Format and containing all
  108. log exchange information.

  152. I'm not sure if y'all have had the chance to see it, but the new CQ
  153. publication "Communications Quarterly" is pretty neat.  It's expensive
  154. (the cover price is nearly $10/issue), but it is to come out every
  155. three months, and it is jam-packed with technical information.  At
  156. least in the first issue, no fluff about contests, DX'ing, etc. and
  157. a distinct lack of the "Build-your-own-whiz-bang-qrp-hf-rig" article
  158. that appears every 2-3 months is all the other semi-tech rags.

  160. Just thought I'd mention it.  For everybody who always claimed "there's
  161. no good technical magazine any more!"  now there is one, though it's
  162. a tad on the expensive side.  From the first issue, it looks worth it.

  258. The person that originally modified my TH77AT tore the trace on the negative
  259. side of C124 completely off the board.  Could someone please contact me
  260. with a description of where this trace originally ran so I can run a jumper
  261. to it?  My schematic shows C132 and C133 connected closest to C124.  I would
  262. like a diagram or description of where 132 and 133 are so I can reconnect
  263. the capacitor.  The radio is currently working without this capacitor connect-
  264. ed.

  267. wire should be attached to enable 400-512 RX and TX.  I believe it runs from
  268. IC10 to one side of C124 (yellow electrolytic).

  326. I am a new HAM and a member of the Northeastern Radio Club. We have a repeater
  327. we are trying to get setup on 145.31
  328. We are using two antennas about 100ft away from each other (at the far corners
  329. of a rooftop on campus) and we are still experiencing desense and intermodulation             
  330. interference. We are looking for anyone who might have an extra 2m Duplexer.
  331.  
  332. We are operating on negative duplex. Once we remove the interference we will be       
  333. able to run 45watts instead of 2!
  334.

  353. looked at the Sony 2010 and the Grundig 500.  I have also heard that
  354. the Sony 2001 is almost the same as the Sony 2010, is that the case ?
  355. Does the 2001 have the synchronous detector, are the specs the same
  356. overall ?
